BUDDY

Image
It is harder and harder for me to see well enough to draw on the computer due to my disabilities. This is the last picture I did of a beautiful dog , called Buddy, desperate for a home. It is always a wonder when the picture finally comes together. This is what my husband wrote about it. BEAUTIFUL BUDDY What sad eyes. My wife, from out of her never ending agony and paralysis, is gifted, I think, with an extraordinary ability to feel and empathise deeply with the pain of others, whether a dog or a human. She is particularly well placed to touch that place of utter isolation, to recognise, from her own long experience, the soul-draining confinement and overwhelming sense of hopelessness and despair. Yet also an astonishing ability to convey the beauty that she is well placed to see, for that is what keeps her going. To me, this portrait of Buddy is a masterpiece of love. https://pennypawsrescue.org.uk/2025/10/16/buddy/
