New Pencil

Image
Exploring using a pencil on the ipadpro. It is lovely to find it is easier to control and less effort to colour in than using a finger. Hopefully it will bring greater precision and new ideas to my computer set if I can hold it. If being the big word.

New illustrated song by Greg: Kerbline.

My husband Greg has just uploaded this beautiful sing to YouTube. It is beautifully illustrated with strong vibrant coloured drawings made on his iPad. I am delighted to say he included one that I drew, which I have posted above. Music always comes to life more with beautifully drawn pictures to illustrate it.   https://youtu.be/kCNhZTdxXIk

Interesting seeing old art in progress

Image
My husband, looking through very old photos found this wonderful picture of me drawing him. It must be at least 15 or twenty years old. I loved drawing sunglasses. I think it’s a cool picture. It was so rare to be able to hold anything let alone a pastel pencil. A very rare moment captured.

A bit of fun

Image
No pastelling possible today but discovered an pastel art app, so had a bit of fun drawing an imaginary corgi. It’s actually as much effort to smudge in as it is in real life.

Longing

Image
Longing to be able to hold a pastel and express my love of flowers but it is not possible at the moment. So I took some beautiful photos of flowers in my garden after rain, keeping hope alive.

Hard pastels

Image
I found some hard pastels a friend sent me many years ago. Nice and thin with a sharp edge, I discovered they also had a vibrant aspect to their colours. Too numb and weak to hood a pastel long I had a quick go at a small picture to see how they flowed on the page. To my delight they could be smudged too and were lighter to hold.

Love uncrushable

As pain and severe illness crushed me so our hearts  grew ever closer. As the burning pain threatened us, our hearts melted together in a oneness unimagined in its strength and depth.
