Art for song video, ‘Heart Broken and Paralysed’

Image
I am delighted that Greg has posted this song video, ‘Heart Broken and Paralysed’,  which includes drawing I made with one finger a couple of years ago.   https://youtu.be/aOaxwscnaCY It is wonderful to be able to express an emotion or experience even if only one finger is useable.

Better closer

Image
I was not happy with the first drawing and then saw a closer up photo of the same face so have had another go. This is more to my liking and more detailed. Still no energy to fill in with colored pastels sadly.

Beginning a new portrait.

Image
Having longed to do a pastel portrait for over a year now, struggling with exhaustion, poor coordination, continual periods of debilitating paralysis and what now feels at the moment like an almost permanent paralyzed left arm and extreme weakness, I have at least begun with a rough outline in white.  I try to get an accurate feel of the subject but the detail needs working on and altering as I go along.  I have now completely lost the ability to continue and don’t know if or when I might continue with it. Nevertheless I am pleased I have begun, I realise now that the face is too compact, it needed to be longer to get a more accurate feel. I think this is due to the angle at which I have the photo . Lying flat the perspective would be shorter.

A simple line drawing with one finger

Even a simple line drawing with one finger can convey emotion. I am struggling severely with daily paralysis and inability to draw. This has a profound impact on my life and relationships, here I try to convey the love I feel tor my husband who stands with me in all  my suffering.
