Beloved dog

 I like to illustrate my poems with simple pictures. It may take a long time, but eventually I get there.



BELOVED DOG
You are no longer here
Yet you are everywhere
Every millisecond of my life
Contains multiple memories of you.
Every blade of grass here was walked on or sniffed by you.
Every path was taken by your faltering paws.
Every space echoes you.
Every thing I did, you were there too.
How then can I go on without you?
Yet how can I ever replace you?
I cannot.
And so you glisten in the morning light.
Your bark echoes to me in unexpected moments
You cuddle me ethereally at nightfall.
You remain forever in my life.
And always in my heart.
I cannot let you go,
Beloved little dog

Throbbing nightmare

A porn to try and convey what I am experiencing at the moment, struggling with horrendous throbbing pain, cognitive and visual disappearance and physical inability to draw as I want to. Or at sll. My head is pounding,  my temples are throbbing  rhythmically  in time with the tormenting,  agonising throb  that is pounding me, in the centre of my feet,  the one that is also assaulting me in the midpoint of my shins,  along with the intense, burning,  never-ending throb  that carves into my hands,  pulls at my inner wrists,  my lower and upper arms  and even my armpits,  my back,  my sides,  my chest muscles,  my neck,  the back of my head  and distorts the senses in my face. Freddy RIP

  Poor Freddy died in Romania before he could be fostered or adopted. He was an older dog and his sad end made us sorrowful. I felt he deserved to be remembered, so tried to draw an image of him. I wish we had been able to offer him a home. I wish he had felt loved and special.
